Thanksgiving

The afternoon before Thanksgiving, our friends invited them over to their house to help make pies. The kids made homemade apple and pumpkin pie - I think I may be inspired to try next year :)
Ms Maggie teaching Sydney the trick to a golden crust is milk on the top of the pie crust before it goes into the oven

Sydney's friend Jonathan getting in on the fun, too.

And pumpkin!

On Thanksgiving morning, we headed up to Nani & Poppa's to spend the day.
Nani set up a craft/kid station!
The boys doing some beading :)
Rich and Poppa were in charge of the turkeys - Poppa's was on the grill and Rich deep fried his. We have been giving Rich a hard time for the past year due to an overcooked turkey and he definitely redeemed himself this year.

Nani may have officially retired from teaching but we are benefiting from her skills!!  We all wrote something we were thankful for on hands, went around the table trying to guess who said what, and then played pinned the hand on the turkey.  So fun!

Mr George was a good sport and played, too!

Happy Thanksgiving!
