This picture makes my heart hurt but want to remember that he was such a happy boy, even during his allergic reaction to the penicllin - poor little buddy.

Children's Museum

We headed downtown to check out the new children's museum at the beginning of December.  Nani joined us and I'm so glad she did - this would have been hard to do by myself with both kids without a stroller!

Drawing on an easel... even though she has an easel at home, she could have stayed here for hours!!!  

They had these fun balls on strings that you could climb on/hang on.  Cole and Nani did some exploring on them while Sydney was still coloring :) 

They had a bounce house that Sydney and Cole LOVED

There was a school group on a field trip and Sydney decided she wanted to join their class :)  She was a good listener!!

They had a room with musical instruments made out of household items - pots and pans for drums and utensils for the sticks.

December Beach Days

We have had several gorgeous days in the month of December.  Hard to believe it's Christmas when we're sweating at the playground but I'll take it!

My new favorite playground!  Overlooks the ocean in Del Mar.

She ran up and down this hill so many times!!  I thought a long nap was in our future for the afternoon - I was waaaay off.  Seems like it wound her up!

Yay for sunny beach days in December!!

10 months!

Cole turned 10 months last week on Jawgie and Great Gram D's Birthday!  

The poor little guy has been fighting a few ear infections for the past 6+ weeks and we found out last Monday that he is allergic (or so we think) to penicillin.  Despite having a rash on his body for most of the week, he was a happy guy!

He is doing more crawling on all 4's but still prefers to army crawl more than anything.  He is still pulling himself up on everything and no cabinet/drawer/toy/couch is off limits in his mind. 

He's eating more smaller pieces of food.  Loves avocado, banana, cheese and yogurt.  He sure loves to make a mess during meal times and watch us constantly clean up.

Daddy and Sydney can make him laugh like no one else can.  Daddy and Cole have "their" time every night at dinner and when I'm walking Cole up the stairs to go to bed.  Daddy will play hide and seek and Cole will laugh and squeal.  Never gets old!  And Sydney can just call his name, smile at him and he will laugh/smile back.  So sweet.  

He's a happy guy but it takes a lot to get a smile out of him!  Guess that means that if you get a smile from him, it's pretty special!

His top two teeth came in just in time for Christmas so he has a total of 4 now.
