Sydney is 4!

We took Sydney to Legoland on her actual birthday so decided to celebrate her a day early so she wouldn't be exhausted opening her presents.

A new 2 wheel bike!!!  She has rode a balance bike (bike with no pedals) for the past year and asked for a  "big girl bike" a few times when we were out and she saw them.  

This is our street - she was off ...her and Daddy headed down to a larger stretch of street to practice (video coming...)

That night we had Nani, Poppa, the Ducotes, Lindsay and Paul and Brian and Hollie over to play and for dinner.  After dinner we had cupcakes for Sydney.

On Thursday, the day after her birthday, we went up to Nani and Poppa's for more birthday celebrating!

Happy Birthday, Syd Syd.  This pictures captures her so well - letting Cole help her blow out her candles on her birthday...she is the BEST big sister!  Such a sweet girl that we are blessed to call ours!

DelaMontaigne Family Reunion

We had a fun and busy first week of August with the Ducote's visiting from Texas and Lindsay, Paul and Zoey from New York!  They all planned to come out for a week but the Ducote's ended up staying in SD because they're moving here for a job relocation for Rich!!!!! :)

Cousin bath time - it is amazing how well they get along.  They haven't seen each other since October and picked up like no time had passed.  And they all play together SO well!

Uncle Paul was the best and most patient sand castle builder.  Joseph and Cole kept "smashing" the castles and he would just rebuild them.

We ALL had a sleepver at Nani and Poppas after the engagement party because it was our last night with everyone all together.  Nani and Poppa gave us their room and we tried several different sleeping arrangements... none which worked out so well.  Needless to say, we were all exhausted come Sunday!  Sydney woke up and went to snuggle with Lindsay and Paul who moved out to the pull-out couch on their last night.
