Shoes, dress up & other random pics

I cant remember if I posted this one of Cole yet but had to include it :)  What we do while Daddy is hard at work!

Sydney has been really into mothering baby dolls and stuffed animals.  She spent SOOOOO long preparing a meal for Panda!

Finding more of Mommy's shoes

Cheese!

She asked for braids one morning (one of her friends had braids in her hair the day before) and I had to take this picture - I couldn't believe how grown up she looks!

Minnie was hungry and wanted a snack too.
Sweet girl

Grainy picture but he had to wear his gators shirt for the bball game today!

She found my hat and a clutch purse of mine in the garage and came inside wearing them.  Too cute!

Explaining to me what she was going to put inside

Then decided to ditch the hat and went with a hairbow

Came out to the family room and she had set up school for Panda and Elmo.  She asked me to be their teacher :)

Sydney after "nap" time...which isn't much of nap time anymore!  She normally spends an hour in her room (supposed to be quiet time) changing outfits, tearing everything out of her closet and drawers and jumping on her bed :)  When I walk upstairs to get her, I normally hear her little feet scurrying back to her bed!

This girl LOVES shoes!  Daddy took off his boots when he got home from work and she immediately put them on!

Big Girl Bed

Sydney finally figured out how to climb out of her crib at the end of February.  After an exhausting night/nap, we moved her mattress to the floor for the remainder of the week until Dave had time to change her crib into a big girl bed.

Daddy giving Syd a pep talk about what is going to happen

Sounds good!

They're excited and off to change it.  I wish I took pictures of them transforming the bed.  Sydney was with Daddy the entire time and helped him with his tools :)

Once the bed was set up, she decided she didn't want to sleep in the bed but wanted her mattress on the floor next to the bed.  So, we went with it.  After about two weeks, she told us she wanted her mattress on her bed!

And...the big girl bed has now become a trampoline :)

Nap time is now hit or miss.  I'm lucky if she naps 2 days a week.  We still have her up there to have rest time but typically when I come in to get her, there are clothes ALL over her room.  I watch her on the monitor and she spends an hour changing from one outfit to another!

First 1/2 of March

She wants to run everywhere now.  I love how her little arms pump back and forth.

Still going...

We went to the safari park one morning and she walked the entire time (and then took a 2+ hour nap, which is rare)!! I need to start doing that daily...
 Checking out the flamingos

Their favorite part of the safari park this day = the playground with the fake animals - ha!

Happy boy in the woodchips

Daddy and Nani always let Sydney ride the carousel when they take her and I'm always the mean one who says no when it's just us :)  Since she walked the entire morning and went to the potty 3xs while we were there, I said YES!

We saw this cement truck while walking to the playground one day and both kids were obsessed with it.  I'm sure the workers thought we were crazy just standing there for 10+ minutes watching them.

Daddy was out of town last week for work so we sent him this pic one night before bed.  Cole's serious face cracks me up!

Dance party!

This little girl loves the monkey bars.

Still needs some help getting across but I think she can make it farther than I can!

Happy boy!

Sticks and grass... not much else to make a little boy happy.

And, this is his latest trick.  Not a huge fan, especially since every time he gets in, Sydney wants to join him inside the drawer.

We were playing in the front yard and all of a sudden water started coming down the street.  Both kids bolted for it and I let them play in it.  I'm sure cars driving by thought I was crazy but that's ok... they had fun splashing.

He rarely falls asleep in the car so I had to document this one.  Tuckered out after the beach!

This is probably tmi but it was a BIG day in our house.  I think we are about 95% potty trained!  We still have to remind her to use the potty if we are out and about but she is doing SO great.

Yay Syd Syd

What a life.  Lounging in the sun eating a popsicle.   Ahhhhh!
