Weekend fun

We did a lot of cleaning and prepping for the baby this weekend but did manage to squeeze in some fun!
After Sydney's nap on Saturday we headed over to Ko'Olina
Daddy and Sydney played this game of peek-a-boo forever.  She was laughing SO hard!!
Blowing kisses
Playing in the water fountain while we waited for our table to be ready to eat!

On Sunday the library was celebrating its 50th birthday so we headed over to check out the festivites.  They had live music, refreshments, magicians and a petting zoo.  Sydney was in heaven!

She was busy checking out the cow to notice the huge sheep behind her.

Future Gymnast

Sydney has been in a parent participation gymnastics class for about 2 months now and we all love it!!  She enjoys being able to run around on a springboard and jump on a trampoline and we love it because it wears her out and she usually naps great :)

She has always been a fan of the balance beams in class and I typically hold her hands while she goes on them.

This past week, I started off the class holding both of her hands, followed by just one hand until she wanted to do it all by herself.

And she made it all the way across!  By herself!  And kept doing it over and over again.

At the end of the beam she would jump off (usually with a crash landing), get up and start clapping and run around and do it all again.

36 weeks

Getting close!  The hard part is not knowing when this little one will arrive.  Could be tomorrow or it could be as long as 6 weeks from now - ugh.  I'm feeling pretty good...just huge!!!

36 weeks with Baby #2

Not the best comparison between Sydney and #2.  I guess I love my orange visor :)

17 months

This little one hit 17 months months over the weekend and is keeping us busy!
I was gone for no more than 2 minutes and found her on the kitchen table!!!  ugh.

And the next day she was playing on the coffee table.  Yes, we promptly signed up for gymnastics to get the climbing out of her system :)

First time with pigtails!!

Getting ready to go out for a bike ride - in pj's...what a life!

Such a big girl!

Cheese :)

Drinking and driving.  Yes, she is still obsessed with water.  Has 2 water cups in her hand while riding her bike.

I told her to smile for Daddy and this is what I got :)

She is developing quite the personality and knows what she wants.  She uses yes and no often which helps us figure out what she is asking for (kind of).  She still tells us she doesn't want a baby brother or sister so we have a month to change her mind :)

She is one happy little girl and we love her to pieces!

Welcome 2013!

Gone are the days (at least for now) where we stay up until midnight to ring in the New Year!  I think this year may have been a record for the earliest we were in bed on NYE!  But... we did have an excuse because our alarm was set for 4:45 a.m. so we could make it to the East side of the island to do a sunrise hike.
The paring lot was packed by 5:30 a.m.  This is the only day in the year where the state opens it up before 7 a.m.

Sydney making friends while waiting for the sunrise

I think all of Oahu was there!

She found a puppy and was in heaven!

While it wasn't the most spectacular sunrise we were hoping for, there were some good colors!

As we started walking back down, we saw these rays coming through the clouds.

34 1/2 weeks

We have so much to look forward to in 2013 and were excited it's here!

Chooo Chooo

Jawgie (Dave's dad) sent out his train set that he had when he was a little boy growing up for us to enjoy!  Dave says he has great memories of setting up this train every Christmas.

Dave cleaned each car and every piece of track and then set it up for us to enjoy!

The light still works on the engine car!!!

Dave and Sydney would often lay on the ground and watch the train go around the tracks!

We're excited to take this out every Christmas and make memories with it for our family.  Thanks for sharing, Jawg!!
