After getting back from the beach and watching the Surfing Santa competition, the kids rested and then we headed off to church. Mass started at 4 p.m. and even though we got there early (3:45), it was already standing room only! The kiddos did great and we headed home right after for dinner.
Trying to get a decent picture...
Proved to be difficult...
Maybe next year...
Since the kids picture went so well, we thought we would give a family photo a shot. And had just about the same results: :)
We'll try that again next year, too!
Right before dinner, we heard a knock on the door so headed over to see who it could be...
SANTA!!!!!
He was SOOOO happy!!!
He just visited briefly and then head to finish the rest of the houses.
(The Coronado FireStation teamed up with the Rotary Club and they had a toy drive which included a Santa visit. Basically, you bring a wrapped child for each child and an unwrapped toy for a child in need, drop it off at the fire station the first couple of days in December and they will send a Santa to visit you on Christmas Eve sometime between 5-7. We will be better prepared next year with cameras. It happened so fast and the kids were so excited!)
Opening presents from Mimi & Jawg with Uncle Mark
Getting ready to have some of Jesus' birthday cake
Heavy on the sprinkles this year :)
Our Christmas Eve crew. We are so thankful they chose to spend it with us.
