Dave got a new set of orders (San Diego again!) in January but he was going to start working in Coronado instead of near Old Town. With the addition of crossing the bridge and the number of military trying to get on base everyday, we estimated it would take 40 minutes one way (on a good day) which means almost 1.5 hours everyday spent in the car. With the kids going to bed around 7, we knew that it would eat into our family time.
After lots of searching, we found a cute little house to rent on Coronado! I lived on the island 10 years ago with Ashleigh and LOVED it, so didn't need any convincing to move back :)
It was a crAzY few weeks/months of putting our house up for rent, finding tenants, figuring out how to be landlords, packing and moving. Dave's dad (Jawg) offered to come out and help us move since he "loves" it (not sure how anyone can "love" moving, but, he was hired!).
Mimi headed to the airport and these two guys got to work!
These two were amazing! They knew we were going to "Coronado" and kept saying when we get to Coronado but I don't really think they really *knew* what was coming. Packing was definitely a challenge during the day with them running around and finding their "treasures" but we made it work.

Helping daddy load
Is this an all star crew or what?!? Both of our brothers also helped tremendously but don't have a picture of all 5! We would still be loading up our old house if it weren't for them all of them. We are SO grateful.
All packed up!
While we packed/loaded/unloaded, Nani and Poppa graciously watched these two! Sydney and Cole got the best deal with a fun sleepover, swimming, treats and a trip to the Safari Park.

And for now, we said goodbye to our first house in San Diego.
