We started off the morning by hiking Torrey Pines with my parents, brother and cousin Ryan.

The weather was gorgeous and it was nice to get out and get fresh air before spending the afternoon inside. Unfortunately, Cole wasn't a fan of hiking during his nap time and let everyone on the trail know!
We all headed home to shower and then everyone headed over to our house around 2. We were debating about eating on the patio but since we weren't eating until 4, we were afraid it would get too chilly (we have thin blood after living in Hawaii for 3 years!) so we took over the kids playroom for the afternoon. It worked out perfect!

Poor Ashleigh got stuck in a freeway closure for over 2 hours en route to our house. We waited for awhile but ended up eating around 5 when she texted saying she was still waiting... she finally arrived around 6. We're glad she was able to make it!!
