Cole had a blast!

Ice cream sandwiches for dessert!

There is a free shuttle bus that goes around Coronado for the summer.  One morning we didnt have any plans so we hopped on the bus and rode it around town.  The kids loved it and enjoyed reading the map trying to follow along with where we were.

Love this!

Sea World opened it's doors one evening late for annual pass holders.  We showed up around 4:30 and stayed until 7:30 and were treated to a special night-time Shamu show.
Momma and Cole on the skyfari - Daddy and Sydney were at the cirque de la mer show which Cole was not interested in!

The kids were in a pirates and mermaids camp at the local rec center for 4 days at the end of June.  It was my first time leaving Cole for that long in a group setting so was a bit nervous but when I picked them up, they both said they loved it and looked forward to going every morning.  On the last day, they could dress up as a pirate or mermaid.  Daddy got creative with Sydney's 'costume' since we didn't have a mermaid princess cress up costume so she wore her little mermaid bathing suit with a tutu - perfect!  Cole was Jake from the Neverland Pirates but is going through a "no pictures!!" phase :)
Fun face painting at a birthday party

More beach time :))))

Found this sweet cat on a bike ride one day.  The kids stayed and petted her for about 10 minutes

We love getting updates on baby Finn!  Every time Aunt Lindsay sends a new picture, the kids ask to see it over and over and over again.

Last day of school

Sydney finished her year of preschool on Wednesday, June 8th.
The Friday prior, her class has a small ceremony where they sang a song and then each child was called up by the teacher.

Daddy came to see Sydney!

Sydney and Eli (right end) were in the same class and Cole and Jonah (yellow shirt) always had fun together and drop-off and pickup.

This girl is the sweetest!  Unprompted, she made a card for every child in her class.

End of May

Some pictures to wrap up the end of last month:
The MOMs Club of Coronado won a book reading from the author of The Dog of the Del so we all gathered at a friends house one afternoon

Sydney with the Dog of the Del

A Navy SEAL who grew up and lived in Coronado was killed in action in early May.  His funeral was held at the Catholic Church and then there was a processional on the way to Ft Rosecrans.   The entire route (over 2 miles) was lined with American flags and people!  It was a very touching and moving tribute.
It was just as patriotic (if not more) as the 4th of July, just much heavier. It was supposed to start at noon but never began until close to 1.  These kiddos were so patient on such a warm day!
Simply amazing!

We were sending Auntie Lindsay entertaining text messages while she was in labor :)  The kids came out both dressed in Sydney's swimsuits!!!

Silly poses!

He started dancing - hilarious!!!

Bedtime...for both!

Playing with the puppet theater at the library

Windy day :)

This girl.  4 1/2 going on 18!  I hope her attitude is as sweet in 14 years as it is now.

Welcome Finn!

We have a new nephew/cousin and couldn't be more in love!  Finn Oliver was born on May 14th.  This is Lindsay & Paul's first baby (other than their dog, Zoey!).
So beautiful!!!

The kids LOVE looking at pics of baby Finn.  Sydney went to get her "baby" so she could be just like Aunt Lindsay & Nani holding Finn.

Nani with her 6th grandbaby

I seriously want to eat.him.up.

It is exhausting being a baby

Little smile :)

We skyped with Lindsay, Paul, Finn, Nani & Zoey on Thursday, May 26th so we could "meet" him via skype.

Cousins meeting their newest cousin.

We can't wait to hold you, baby Finn.  Welcome to the world!
