Cali dog

My parents are in the process of selling their house and moving to a wonderful new house just 10 minutes north from us.  We offered to have Cali dog stay with us while they had showings/open houses to try and make things a little easier.  The kids LOVE Cali dog so I htink it was a win-win :) 

Dave said he would watch Cali while I got the kids ready for bed... not sure which one of them fell asleep first!

After the 1st day we had her, Sydney learned how to attach her leash and could walk her from our house all the way down to the playground herself!!

Many times a day I would find Sydney laying on the floor, talking to Cali.  It was the sweetest!

We loved having Cali with us.  We dropped her back off at my parents house on Monday and both kids have mentioned that they miss her already...and it's only been 2 days!

Happy 220th Birthday to the Supply Corps!   Dave and I dropped the kiddos off at Nani and Poppas house for the night and we headed to the San Diego Marriott & Marina downtown.  I got to lay by the pool for a bit and Dave was able to watch March Madness uninterrupted before we had to get ready for the ball.

The guest speaker was the most interesting man in the world. 

We had a fun night out and are so thankful that we were able to get away!!

Easter

On Saturday, April 4th, our neighborhood park hosted their annual Easter egg hunt.  

Cole LOVES these overalls and calls them his train outfit.  He was adamant about wearing them this morning. 

He went right up to the bunny and sat on his leg!

We were planning on doing the beach in the afternoon but it was a lot chillier here than it was during the week and the kiddos were still getting over their sickness so we decided to stay close to home and had a quiet day at the park!

April fun!

They went outside one morning after breakfast and Sydney started reading to Cole.  Unprompted.  Sweet moment. 

We spent far too many days at the doctors office in the beginnig of April so we had to be creative while we waited.  Double ear infections, nasty colds, pink eye!  I hope we are on the mend!

A sweet friend brought Sydney a bouquet of lollipops.  She looks so grown up here!

Sydney was a rockstar at her dentist apt. and joined the no cavity club again!  Cole wasn't loving the dentist but got his teeth checked out as well... I just didn't have a free hand to take a picture ;)
