Christmas House

My mom heard about a house near us that goes all out with Christmas lights and decorations.  We got there about 20 minutes after they 'opened' and the line for Santa was LONG already.  We bypassed the line since the kiddos already saw Santa and checked out the rest of the house

This was in their front yard!

They opened up the inside of their house as well so you could walk through that.  It was crazy!

Posing with Big Bird

The pool was really neat!

They had hot chocolate and cookies for all of the visitors and each kid was able to choose one toy.  We talked to some of the volunteers and they said this couple has been doing this for years and its just something that they really enjoy!  We were blessed by their Christmas Spirit!

Cookie Decorating

We met up with some friends last week and had a cookie decorating party for the kiddos.  Sydney discovered that she LOVES marshmallows - I think this was her first time having them!
Putting icing on

Look at all of those marshmellows she's hanging onto.  She ended up eating all of these on her plate and asked for more to put on her cookie.  Smart girl :)

Haha - caught her!

Cole had fun exploring the kitchen

Winter Wonderland

On Friday, December 6th we headed over to Coronado for their Holiday Celebration.  Our friends, Pamela and Todd, planned a fun night for the kiddos and grownups!

Standing in line to play in the snow.  Thankfully, Miss Pammmmmmla (as Sydney calls her) got there before we did and 'held' our place in line for us

Checking out the snow.  I thought this was both the kiddos firt time in the snow but now I remember that Sydney was in the snow when we went to New York when she was 6 months old.

She said it was slippery :)

She bent right down, picked up snow and ate it!!!

Love her!

They had cookie decorating, face painting, bounce houses, etc.

All bundled up!

Daddy and Sydney listening to the music

So pretty!

She spent most of her time on the beach playing in the sand - haha.  Guess she prefers the beach over the snow - that's my girl!

Kiddos with Santa!

After we were done with the ferry landing, we headed over to a hotel right across from the Del to watch the parade and eat.  Sadly, I didn't snap a pic of the group but Aimee sent me this one of Sydney taking a break from the parade and eating a cookie.  She would run to the window to watch the parade, ask for chips and then a cookie and repeat :)
Such a fun night!

It's beginning...

...to look a lot like Christmas!

The day after Thanksgiving we went out to get our tree and started putting up our Christmas decorations.

Sydney putting the cling-ons on the window

Cole was content (for a bit) riding around...I can't believe how big he looks here!

And it turned into a photo shoot :)

Wheeeeeeeeeee!

Christmas 2013 - Sydney 2 1/2

Love them!

Cole's first Christmas - 10 months

We were trying to do a photoshoot for our Christmas cards which failed miserably.  I think we made an attempt 4 or 5 different times and NONE of the pics turned out.  Here are some of them...

And, they're done :)
