Thankful

We have been so grateful to have a group of friends from Dave's work and my playgroups/moms groups bring us meals several times a week for the past month.  Thursday marked the last day of meals so we're on our own for dinners now.  This may mark the beginning of lots of takeout :)

If you know of someone who just had a baby and don't know what to get them, bring them a home cooked meal!

Sweet boy

These pictures are from his 5 week birthday.

Trying to get a sibling comparison shot.
Yes, it was cold (60's) and rainy here on Sunday which is why Sydney is in long pants and a jacket!

Smiling... but so hard to catch.

He LOVES watching Sydney.  It probably doesn't help that she likes getting super close to him so she knows he's watching her :)

Smiling at his big sis

And this little one gets a little jealous if I'm only taking pictures of her brother and not her... :)

Cole's Newborn Photoshoot

We had Cole's baby photos taken when he was 10 days old and recently got the pics back.  Crazy how much older he seems already...

Welcome to our family, little buddy!

Syd Syd

Dare I say... this may be my favorite age so far!  Sydney is SO fun!  She is talking up a storm, is such a great helper and is easy going.  Yes, she has her moments but don't all 19 month olds?

The mall by our house put on an Easter celebration over the weekend so Sydney and I headed up there Sunday morning to check it out. She made this bunny hat and a bunny magnet.

Our neighbor gave her a Sesame Street balloon when Cole was born and we just threw it away last week.  She LOVES balloons so had been asking for it constantly when she realized it was gone.  I finally caved when we were at the mall last week and bought her an Elmo balloon.  Well, on the walk home, the string detached from the balloon and Elmo floated away.  I have never seen her so sad!  She didn't cry but was talking in a really sad voice and said Elmo every other word.  I went back to the store to try and get another balloon and just our luck, that the was LAST Elmo balloon the store had and their order that was supposed to be delivered the following day with more Elmo balloons was postponed for a week.  After 3 days of constantly talking about Elmo, I finally found another Elmo balloon at Longs so we picked that up on Sunday afternoon.  Phew!

Love her!

Daddy and Syd walking at the botanical gardens

She is talking up a storm!  Her favorite words are: Daddy, Mommy, Toll (Cole), Nani, Poppa, Mimi, Jawgeeeee, Aunty, Doggie, Duck duck (bath), ELMO, hi, bye bye, mall (maybe we go there too much....)

She has been napping for about 2 hours in the afternoon and goes down for bed between 7 and 7:30 and sleeps until 7 (this morning I had to wake her up at 7:45!!!)!  Now if she can just get her brother on her schedule we'd be set :)

Running to go see the ducks

She has been so helpful and patient since Cole has arrived.  She helps us change his diaper, brings us his blanket, and always asks for him as soon as she wakes up in the loudest voice possible.

You're supposed to be feeding the ducks!!!

Caught!

She is becoming quite the ham.  We have had some friends over recently and she provides the entertainment for us all.

Love you Syd Syd.

One month!

Cole turned one month on Sunday, March 17th (St. Patty's Day).  On one hand it's crazy that he's already been here for a month but on the other, we can't imagine our family without him.

Back to the cabbage patch monthly pics!  And... just as a comparison, here was Sydney at a month:

We spent the morning around the house and walked up to the farmers market and then in the afternoon, we headed over to the botanical gardens to run around and feed the ducks.  Judging by the picture below, Cole wasn't impressed :)

Happy one month birthday, little man.  We love you.
