We had a fun day yesterday celebrating the 4th of July!
We started out the morning at the Kailua Independence Day parade. Kailua is a beach town right next to where we live and it has such a small town feel to it - we love it!!
Daddy and Syd watching the parade
She was mesmerized!
Even the dogs got into the spirit
Only in Hawaii... a dad driving a lifted golf cart with his two little boys unbuckled...
pulling...
PITBULLS!
Thankfully they stayed on their "float" and didn't mingle with the spectators.
Love her!
We heard a little boy next to us call this man walking with the American Flag a Hawaiian Abe Lincoln :)
And... no parade would be complete without a visit from the leprechaun?!?! Go Irish!
After the parade, lunch and naps, we headed over to Hickam Air Force base for their 4th festivities. We met up with some friends there and rode the little train.
Bennett and his dad (Bennett is the little boy that goes to the same sitter as Sydney)
Riding her 1st train.
I think she liked it!
We decided to head home before the concert and fireworks but took a few pics by the water before we called it a day.
Heart. her.
I love how she is looking at daddy...
Cooling off in the misters before walking to the car
Fun ride back to the car.
Love them.
Happy 4th!
