It's beginning....

...to look a lot like Christmas!!!

Out with the turkeys and in with the Christmas decorations!  After we hit up the mall for a little black Friday shopping, we packed away the Thanksgiving decorations and started decorating the house for the holidays.  Originally, we weren't going to get a tree since we'll be in San Diego for Christmas but we decided to get one since it's Sydney's first Christmas and because it doesn't exactly 'feel' like Christmas since we're in shorts and tank tops every day!

"Whimpy"

Dave and I have affectionately nicknamed Sydney "whimpy" this week because she has started whimpering like a dog - hilarious!  To her defense, her bottom tooth is starting to come in and I'm sure she is in a ton of pain but she continues to be happy!  Below is a video of her whimper (and yes, she will hate us in about 15 years)... 

Sydney's 1st Thanksgiving

We have so much to be thankful for this year and enjoyed celebrating our blessings yesterday!  We spent the morning watching football, cooking and skyping with family before we ate!  I think Sydney will enjoy Thanksgiving much more in the years to come when she can actually eat the food!

Dave and I agree that 3 months is by far our favorite age so far!  Sydney is such a fun and easy-going baby!  She is sleeping great (7 hours straight at night is a 'bad' night for her) and is so alert!  Wish we could freeze time!

My former co-worker (Marc) sent Sydney this shirt that says "My Mama does know Jack" with a picture of me and Jack Box from the Holiday Bowl a few years ago.  Sydney thought this was hilarious. 

Beach days!

Dave and I were talking last night how spoiled we are living in Hawaii and being able to go to the beach in mid November and then go for a walk outside in the evening in shorts and a tank top!  I think we're going to freeze at our next duty station...wherever that may be!


We spent a few hours yesterday at or favorite beach by our house.  The weather was PERFECT and Sydney did great!  No beach trip is complete without a photoshoot :) - sorry for the mass amount of pics!  

3 months!

Sydney turned 3 months on Saturday!  Crazy how time flies...


Dave and I have said that ever since we got home from San Diego last week, it seems like Sydney is a new baby.  Not that she wasn't 'fun' before but the last week has been such a blast!!  It seems like she is always in a good mood, we've developed a pretty good schedule, she's sleeping & napping in her crib (!!!!) and she is laughing/smiling so much more.  If this is a sign of things to come, we can't wait.

Sydney rolls over!

Sydney rolled over from her tummy to her back yesterday (November 2nd) for the first time!  Here is a quick video of her doing it again this morning!  Guess this means I can no longer put her on our bed when I get ready in the morning!!
