Yosemite -Part I

We traveled up to Yosemite again for 5 days at the end of May.  While we stayed at the same location, this year we got to experience LOTS of water and waterfalls - something we didn't get to see at all last year due to the drought and going at the end of the summer.

Yosemite Falls

Kiddos hanging out by the river right by our campsite

We somehow convinced (tricked?) Nani and Poppa to join us again this year.  They stayed in the cabin right next to us and we had a great few days with them!

Smores!

Poppa nicknamed Sydney "Hollywood" - dresses and glasses while camping :)

We tried a few different sleeping arrangements - overall, much better than last year!

Such a big girl!

We parked our bikes and walked up to Mirror Lake

This was completely dry last year!

Cooking their dinner!

And dessert!

We biked around the valley one day - this was in front of Yosemite Falls!

Love her.

Not a bad bike path...

Biking through the trees

Deer!

More deer - no zoom on the camera!  We were SO close.

Love. Love. Love!

Thankfully, this was the only bear we saw

Fishing one afternoon - no luck!

This was our afternoon setup!

4th of July

Quite possibly my favorite holiday, did not disappoint again this year.

Sydney and daddy started the night before with a circumnavigate bike ride

I stated the morning early with a run.  Had the BEST cheering squad :)

All of my family came over to our house and then we walked over to watch the parade

The Ducotes headed home shortly after the parade, Cole and Finn (and apparently Dave and Poppa) napped while the rest of us went to put out chairs for the concert and walk around the ferry landing.

We enjoyed a picnic dinner at the concert before fireworks.

What a great day!
