Mimi's visit

Mimi visited us for about 10 days in February and we loved having her here!  We had beautiful weather and had fun showing her around Coronado and San Diego.

The day after she landed was in the 80's so after breakfast, we took her to Gator Beach

Happy Heart Day!

The kids woke up on Valentines Day morning with a few surprises on the table:

A failed attempt at heart shaped blueberry pancakes.  Thankfully, they didn't mind and still ate them :)

Right after breakfast we headed down to a park/playground near the bay to cheer on Uncle Rich who was running in a 10k that morning.  The kids had fun dancing to the band...

We came home to a fun package left on our front door by our neighbors, Ms. Pamela & Mr. Todd.   The kids immediately wanted to take a bath with their new bath bubbles. 

The week of Valentines day, my friend had a truffle making playdate in her backyard.  Thankfully, she pre-made all of the truffles so the kids just had to dip in chocolate and decorate.  Sydney was at school so Cole did all of the decorating but was great at sharing his chocolates with her.

February beach days

The weather in February made it feel like it was the middle of summer.  Crisp mornings but warm and sunny days where we were able to spend lots of time at the beach.

There is a shipwreck that was recently discovered just east of the Hotel Del.  Once it hit the news stations, there have been crowds of people coming over to check it out at low tide.  

Lifeguards say you shouldn't walk on it or get too close to it... people are really good listeners :)
