November

November through pictures

The two LOVE LOVE LOVE puzzles!

Spectacular sunrise

We were walking home from school and we saw a dog that looks EXACTLY like Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Paul's dog, Zoey!  The kids were soooo excited and started calling it zoey :)

Love this girl.  She rode her bike with me to drop something off at the UPS store (about 1 mile away).  While there, she saw princess markers that "she had to have".  I told her if she really wanted them, she could go home, get money from her piggy bank and I would take her back (half thinking she would be over it by the time we left).  Well, she rode all the way home, went straight to her bank to get money for her and then took extra to get some for Cole, too!!  When we got back to the UPS store, the man working was so impressed that she came all the way back that he gave her a 2 for 1 deal so she could buy Cole a set as well and still have money to put back in her bank.

We met the Ducote's downtown one Sunday afternoon for a Fallback festival.  They closed a few streets and had fun activities set up for the kids like panning for gold, pony rides, candlemaking, penny candy and a photo booth.

How cute are they???  Joseph wanted a to hold a gun and the other 3 kids wanted a horse.  Everyone was happy!!

Uh oh... jail time

Picking lettuce from Nani's garden

And then climbing up and down and up and down Nani & Poppa's side yard

We headed to the park near our house one afternoon and our friends were there with their little car.  Sydney and Cole had a BLAST trying it out.

How sweet is this?  Cruising around with his arm around her?

Sydney meeting Sydney the Koala at the zoo!

Sweet kiddos!

Swing time

We did a  turkey trot 5k on the Marine Corps base a week beofre Thanksgving.  We were late to the start due to 2 gates being closed and construction happening on base.  I saw the first runners run by us when we were at a stop sign and when I realized they were holding traffic until all the runner went by, we pulled into the gas station, parked and got out and started running.

She really enjoys running and that makes me happy!  I brought the double stroller and kept offering her a ride but she said she wanted to be out.

Cole got out of the stroller at the end and Sydney helped him to the finish.

Tom the turkey was the highlight...

...Until we found Uncle Bubba and he took us into his office.  He let the kiddos spin in his chair and play on his calculator that printed out paper - they were sold!

Face painting at a friends birthday party

And a bounce house!

Birthday party cake!

Sydney asked how old Jesus was going to be this year as I was driving home one afternoon.  I told her to ask Daddy when we got home :)  After some math, and some help from Poppa who stopped by that night, we settled on 2015 years...give or take a few :)

My dad graciously gave us two tickets to the Chargers game again this year and spoiled us with field passes for the pre-game.  We had a blast - too bad the game wasn't better!

One the field when the team was running out.

Cole helping Daddy!

I found her outside coloring one morning

We had a Thanksgiving playdate/craft one morning with our moms group

Thanksgiving

We started our Thanksgiving morning out with a 5k turkey trot in Coronado.  The race was small and benefited the local Children's Hospital so was perfect!

The kiddos loved their turkey visors

He's got moves at 7 a.m.!

Getting ready to run

Family photo!

Sydney was amazing and ran about 2 of the 3 miles.  We kept asking her if she wanted a break and to ride in the stroller but she said no!  Notice she ran the entire race with puppy purse!!!!

Such a great big sister!

Momma and the kiddos running to the finish line

Her medal!

Finishers!

After showers and packing we headed up to Nani & Poppa's house.  Nani was flying home from New York so we had a few hours with just Poppa!

The Ducotes came over a few hours later and we continued playing!

Getting ready to eat

Cole and Joseph LOVE cousin Ryan and look up to him (and his skateboard ;) )

It took 3 guys to watch the turkey in the deep fryer

And I don't think they were watching it too closely because this is how it came out...

Having fun with special plastic glasses
