Movie Night in the Park

There was a movie night in the park (LEGO Movie) right down the street from our house last Saturday that we went to.  Prior to the movie, there was a Kids Zone, raffle, food trucks, band, etc to raise money to help build a new playground!

Quick picture before we let them run free

We got there a bit early to help set up and Cole immediately found the bubble pool!

He was having a fun time splashing around until the next thing I notice, he fell head first into the pool!  He was covered in bubbles and they were in his mouth and eyes so we headed home for a quick shower and then went back down!

Happy boy after his shower!

Cole LOVED the maracas

Getting ready to have her face painted

She chose a fish!

So proud of Sydney!  About 2 months ago we were at a festival where they had this same slide and she wasn't ready to go down it.  This time, she didn't even hesitate!

He had fun in the tunnels

Dancing!

We were in bed by the time the movie started... maybe next year we'll catch it!

Sea World

Dave took the day after Sydney's birthday off from work and we dropped Cole off bright and early at Nani's house (THANKS, MOM!) so we could spend the day with Sydney at Sea World.

We kept telling her about where we were going but since she had never been, she really had no clue what to  expect!

First stop - touching the animals in the tide pools

While we were at the tide pools, she spotted some rides and wanted to head over to them... so we did!  There were no lines since it was right when the park opened so we hopped on/off them several times.

She still talks about this ride almost every day!

Sea Worlds version of the tea cups... too dizzy for Mommy!

This exhibit was really amazing.  We were SO close to the dolphins - pretty neat!

Daddy touched one!

The picture above isn't zoomed in at all - they were this close!

Right next to the dolphin exhibit was dolphin stadium where there was an amazing dolphin show mixed with a ton of cirque-like acts.  So off we went!

She was SO happy!

Pictures don't do this show justice!

We found out there was a shamu show right after the dolphin show so off we went...

Shamu!

My sweet 3 year old!
After the Shamu show we decided we needed some shade so we headed over to the shark exhibit.

Wasn't loving the sharks.  "They were scary"...But daddy made it fun!

In the shark tunnel... can you spot them swimming above us?

Then we headed over to the turtles... which were great!

Love her!

Scary face!

Checking out the walrus

This show was a cirque show with no animals... all people!  It was amazing!

After the show we headed to the skyfari:

Waiting for the dog show (all of the animals were saved from shelters/rescued):

A few more rides:

A little bit of bouncing before heading home..

And a chance to meet Elmo AND Cookie before calling it a day!!

One quick selfie (the sun was SO bright) before heading out to pick up Cole and head to bed!  We were all exhausted!!

Such a fun day celebrating our sweet Syd Syd!
