Strawberry Picking

A friend told me about strawberry fields not too far from us so we headed up there over the weekend to do some picking.

He ate his weight in strawberries this morning.  Usually when we give him strawberries at home he'll eat one or two pieces but he couldn't get enough of these!!

After we filled our bucket, we went to the picnic area that had hay bales all around.  The kids ran/crawled around and had a blast!

She jumped off on this one about 100 times!

Sydney was coloring earlier today and Cole kept reaching up to the table and signing "more".  He usually tries to eat the crayons but I decided to let him give it a go this morning.  I gave him paper and one crayon at a time and this is his masterpiece he created:

Helen Woodward Fieldtrip

It seems like the month of May is field-trip month :)  This week we headed to Helen Woodward Animal Shelter for a tour of their center and to check out some animals.  

First up:  Molly the Bunny

They were only supposed to pet with two fingers - pretty impressed she remembered :) 

And then she went in with her whole hand!

Last, but not least, Chester the dog.  He is 14 and was SO sweet. 

She started out petting him like this

Then as soon as she bent down and started petting him, he started kissing her.  

It was SO sweet.  She's the only kid who got this treatment from Chester.  Maybe a future vet?!?

After checking out the animals, the kids were able to run around/play in a large pavilion.
