Christmas Morning -2013

My parents, Brian, Lindsay & Paul came over around 6:30 a.m. on Christmas morning.  I had told my mom that the kids are ALWAYS up between 6-6:30 so to come over whenever... of course this would be the morning they sleep in - ha.  So, we made some coffee and waited for them to wake up.  By 7, both of them were up and ready to see what Santa had left!

Opening up her first gift - Minnie Mouse balls!  It took her forever to get through the gifts.  She would rip off small pieces of wrapping paper very gently, give them to someone and continue unwrapping... and then, would play with the gift!!  I know this stage wont last very long so we were enjoying it.

Showing Cole his new teething biscuits

She LOVED Cole's elephant toy

We took a break for breakfast.

Nani brought over her homemade cinnamon rolls!

Our friends, The Groffs, passed down a play kitchen for Sydney.  We re-painted it and accessorized it and surprised her with it on Christmas.  She. LOVED. it.

Opened it and was in her own world playing for 15-20 minutes!!

Cole got some snuggles with Nani and Bubba

This girl loves dogs!!!

After opening the gifts under the tree, we skyped with Mimi & Jawgie

Cole was a fan, too!

What a great Christmas morning.  We are so blessed and thankful.

Christmas Eve - 2013

Nani and Poppa came over and joined us for church and Christmas Eve dinner.  We had the kiddos nap early, left the house at 3:30 in order to make it to 4 p.m. mass.  Church was interesting with two little ones, and it was standing room only, but we survived :)

We were trying to think of a meal for Christmas Eve and I told Dave that I didn't want to be in the kitchen all day...I prefered something simple.  Thankfully, he was a good sport and went along with my idea of homemade pizza!  We tried to get a little festive by making them into a star and Christmas tree.

Christmas Eve Day - 2013

Daddy and Sydney started out the morning bright and early making poppyseed bread from scratch!

She made Daddy wear the apron - ha!

Finished product!

She was so proud!

Uncle Mark stopped by our house before he left for Florida to see the kiddos.

I iwsh Syd was smiling in this pic!

And Dave convinced him to help set up the train

Cole loved watching the train go by!
