4 months!

Cole turned 4 months on June 17th.  He weighs 18.5 pounds (!) which is in the 99% and is 26 inches long, 86%.
He is a happiest when someone is watching/playing with him and LOVES looking at people.  He will let you know if he's not getting enough attention.

Sydney continues to be such a great big sister.  She is so gentle, loving and patient with him.  Cole is the first person she asks for in the morning and gets so excited to see him.

Cole is a cat napper.  He usually sleeps for 30-40 minutes 2-3 times a day...rarely overlapping with Sydney's naps.  We're convinced he wakes after his first sleep cycle and cannot put himself back down. Now that we're done travelling for some time, we're going to work on his sleep :)

He's still eating every 3-4 hours and will occasionally go 5-6 hours at night although it's very unpredictable.

He has had a pretty crazy first 4 months of life compared to most.  Packing up his first home, living in a hotel for a week, first plane ride to California, staying with Nani and Poppa for a week and then heading to the East Coast for 2 weeks.

His biggest milestone this month was rolling from back to front and then from front to back!

Happy 4 months, sweet boy.

Fathers Day

We celebrated Father's Day in San Diego this year!  We hung out at Nani & Poppa's house, lounged by the pool while the boyzzz watched golf and then had a nice dinner.

These kiddos don't realize how lucky they are to have him as their dad.  One day they will.

Trying to get a decent picture was challenging...

Aloha, Hawaii

It was a crazy end of May/beginning of June for us.  We sold a car, packed up our house, said goodbye to  friends, moved into a hotel for a week, checked out of work and made some final memories in Hawaii.

Final play-date at the botanical gardens with our MOPS group

Syd Syd did SO well with all of the transitions.  Most of her toys were packed up this day so she found an old carrier and kept putting her baby doll in it.

Ronald McDonald made a visit at the library during storytime.  In the middle of his talk, Sydney stood up and said bye bye.  Ha!

She could have played with these mailboxes all day!

Sleepy boy!

Sydney LOVED our next door neighbors dog, Lilo (who she called Leno).  She would ask to see him about 100 times a day!

Picking up sticks and playing in dirt on our way home.

Wonder where she learned this from???!!!??

There goes our stuff!  Hope it all makes it to San Diego.

The week of our pack-out was crazy!  Dave was working a ton due to his boss' change of command ceremony and I was trying to get ready for the move with 2 small children.  One night he showed up with a box of Sees Candy...full of my favorite kind.  I about died!

One last walk through the mall

Playing at the park

Final beach day at Kailua.  I forgot the swim diapers...

Our playgroup had a going away party for Sydney.  It was tough trying to get all of the kiddos together.

Gymnastics

Last week was Sydney's final gymnastics class.  She has come such a long ways in the 8 months hse has been participating.  Her coach told me last week that she couldn't believe the progress she has made.  The first several classes Sydney wouldn't let coach come near her and wasn't really interested in trying anything.  Now, she is running around the gym, vaulting, trying the older girls balance beam, etc.  I was a proud momma!

Concentrating!

Big girl balance beam!!!

Doing it herself!

Video of Syd jumping into the ball pit.  The first month or two she would SLOWLY walk down the trampoline and stop at the red line and make me take her off of it.  She was terrified of the styrofoam balls.
