Nani visits!

Nani came out to visit last week for a few days!  We loved having her here even if it was a quick trip!
Checking out the beach on the Air Force base

Mommy and Daddy got to relax in the beach chairs while Nani played with Sydney :)

Nani introduced Sydney to ice cubes (which she LOVED) and now NEEDS every time we go out to a restaurant that serves ice water.

We have been wanting to check out Sea Life Park on the island so thought it would be a good excuse to go while Nani visited.  It was small compared to Sea World but the perfect size for Sydney!
HUGE sea turtles.  We often see them swimming in the ocean but it was fun to see them so close

The dolphin show was great and Sydney was very entertained. They had the dolphins swimming around in the tank before the show even started which was fun.

Not a bad view from the park!

"3 generations" as Dave titled this photo

Dolphin feeding time

We took Nani to check out the botanical gardens one day and had fun running around chasing ducks

Picking flowers

LOVES birds!!!!

Smelling flowers with daddy

Practicing her pull-ups!
Thanks for coming to visit, Nani!!  We can't wait to see you in February!

15 months!

I'm a week behind but this little girl turned 15 months last Monday.  All of a sudden she seems so old and is acting more like a toddler instead of a baby.
She LOVES being outside.  LOVES it.  She has started stomping her feet at the base of our stairs when we tell her it's time to go inside.  She would be outside all the time if we let her.

She is so curious and into everything.  Keeps us busy and always cleaning up :)

She is transitioning to 1 nap a day and has been sleeping for about 2 hours during nap time.  This is great although she gets tired around 10:30 a.m. so it's a long stretch to keep her up/busy/entertained from 12:30 - 7 p.m.

She is so sweet!  She will always come up and give you a hug or kiss out of the blue.  She LOVES other kids/babies which we're hoping is a good sign come February.

When asked where Mommy's baby is she points to my belly and sometimes will pull up my shirt and play with my belly button.

She's still a peanut! She weighed in at 20 lbs. 4 oz. and measured 30 inches.  Guess she's stuck with her momma's height genes!

Such a gentle girl!  So careful (usually) when picking up flowers, reading books, playing, etc.

She has started saying "yes" to almost every question we ask.  It's the cutest!  Thankfully "no" hasn't really made it into her vocabulary... yet!

Happy 15 months, baby girl.

Aloha Aunt Denise & Uncle Jerry

Dave's Aunt and Uncle from New Hampshire came out to visit Hawaii for a week and we were so fortunate to be able to spend some time with them while they were here.

First stop was Makapu'u Lighthouse to check out the views and get those legs moving after such a long flight!

There were a ton of people hang gliding which was amazing to watch.

Aloha!

Next stop was Lanikai Beach to do some relaxing and snorkeling.
Dave giving Aunt Denise a quick lesson before she was off.  Uncle Jerry is already out there!

Going for a walk!

Unfortunately, those are the only pics I have on our camera from their visit.  I will have to get the others from Aunt Denise.

Thanks so much for making time to see us while you were out here!

Happy Halloween!

We went over to a friend from playgroup's house for Halloween for a potluck and then trick-or-treating.  It was crazy with about 10 kids plus adults but made for a fun night!

Trying to get all the kiddos seated for a picture before we headed out trick-or-treating.  Yup, wasn't going to happen.

Sydney is the ladybug behind the dinosaur.

She had tights to wear underneath her costume but it was so warm out that we skipped those.

I told Dave to be thankful I don't make him dress up like the family above :)

Sydney was in love with this blow up pumpkin

She caught right on to the hang on trick-or-treating.  She would walk right up to the people handing out candy all on her own.

Patiently waiting for her turn

Showing us what she got

She stayed up way past her bedtime but did great!  The best part is her pregnant momma has been enjoying all the candy she got  :)

Jumping & Dancing

A slightly blurry (and sometimes sideways) video of Sydney jumping and dancing.  I thought it was too funny to not post.
