Org Day

Last Friday we headed over to Hickam Air Force base to attend an org day for Dave's work.

Not too shabby of a location...

They had a ton of activities for the kids but Sydney enjoyed walking around with an empty water bottle the most.  Go figure.

Kualoa Ranch

Last weekend we drove about 5 miles north to check out the 50th Hawaii State Farm Fair which was held at Kualoa Ranch.  The setting on Kualoa Ranch is picture perfect - the massive Kualoa Mountain Range as one backdrop and the ocean as the other.  Many scenes from Jurassic Park and Lost were filmed here.

So fun!

Smile from the little one to end the day!

11 months!

Less than 30 days away from this little one turning ONE - how did that happen?
She has gotten so confident on walking on her own her now!  Turn your head for a second and she will be in another room!
Sydney is eating 3 meals a day plus 1 or 2 snacks.  She is a huge fan of waffles, quesadillas, peaches, kiwi, cheese, cheerios and graham crackers!  She doesn't love her vegetables so we try and hide them in other foods :)

She loves being around other kids and people watching!  She is always moving around and is an active little girl.  If only time would slow down.

Happy 11 months, baby girl.

Happy Birthday, America!

We had a fun day yesterday celebrating the 4th of July!

We started out the morning at the Kailua Independence Day parade.  Kailua is a beach town right next to where we live and it has such a small town feel to it - we love it!!
Daddy and Syd watching the parade

She was mesmerized!

Even the dogs got into the spirit

Only in Hawaii... a dad driving a lifted golf cart with his two little boys unbuckled...
pulling...
PITBULLS!

Thankfully they stayed on their "float" and didn't mingle with the spectators.

Love her!

We heard a little boy next to us call this man walking with the American Flag a Hawaiian Abe Lincoln :)

And... no parade would be complete without a visit from the leprechaun?!?!  Go Irish!

After the parade, lunch and naps, we headed over to Hickam Air Force base for their 4th festivities.  We met up with some friends there and rode the little train.

Bennett and his dad (Bennett is the little boy that goes to the same sitter as Sydney)

Riding her 1st train.

I think she liked it!

We decided to head home before the concert and fireworks but took a few pics by the water before we called it a day.

Heart. her.

I love how she is looking at daddy...

Cooling off in the misters before walking to the car

Fun ride back to the car.

Love them.

Happy 4th!

Determined little girl

We've got a little one on the move!
She was taking a few steps here and there until about a week ago when she just took off!  Her preferred method of transportation is now walking by herself!

And... getting into everything :)

There she goes

...and goes....

...and goes...

I think she was mad I made her sit down for this pic!  I couldn't get her to smile!

One more quick video of her walking around
