Schommer's Visit Hawaii

Daves good friend from high school in Minnesota (Matt) and his wife (Jaime) came out to visit us in Hawaii for a week!  We had a great time exploring the island with them and catching up!  They left their 2 year old son with family back home so they were able to have a little vacation before their second child arrives in 2012!

Dave, Jaime and Matt took a boat tour of Pearl Harbor one morning.  No infants were allowed so Sydney and I sat this one out.

Sydney LOVED Jaime (and Matt too)!  Matt and Jaime watched Sydney one night for us so Dave and I were able to go out to dinner!

We tried to have a photoshoot just the two of us.  It obviously didn't work out so well...

Amazing how fast she is growing next to her cabbage patch doll compared to the previous months.

2 Months Old!!

Hard to believe but Sydney turned 2 months this past Wednesday!! We had her doctor's appointment this morning which went great (minus the shots).  She weighs 11 pounds 6 ounces and is 23 inches long, both in the 50th - 75th percentile.

She has changed so much in the past month and it is SO fun to see her little personality coming out.  She is smiling and cooing all of the time now:

Is sleeping great!!!  At night she will normally do a 6-8 hour stretch (although she did sleep 9 hours a few times), wake up to eat and then immediately fall back asleep for another 3 hours!

Diaper Blowout

Syd gave us a fun little surprise yesterday afternoon:

Yes, that's poop all in the front of her diaper.

I've become THAT mom now that takes pictures of what's inside of a diaper

She was so happy!  If we hadn't smelled anything, we would have never known.

Dave cleaned her up and then we promptly gave her a bath:
